Dulce de Leche

All I can say is.........YUM!!! Addicting! Easy!
Start with a can of Sweetened Condensed Milk. I used Eagle Brand.
Peel off the label.
Put in a heavy pan with a lid.
Fill with water and bring to a boil.

Cover the pot with the lid.
Simmer for 3 hrs. to get this spoonable consistency.
Cool and then open the can.
Pat says you can pressure cook it for 30 min. Sounds
scary to know exploding cans and all....maybe I'll try it!

OH MY GOSH. this WAS DIVINE! You might be thinking, why don't I just buy caramel... no way, not after you try this!

I didn't realize it was so easy to make... though I've had my fill of Dulce de Leche for the next 10 years after Montevideo.

oh man we had this on sunday with apple pie it was a HIT loved it soo good have to restrain myself from making it every night@!\
